I’d like to share a few thoughts.
Booking a photo session for your family is the kind of investment that only grows in value over time. You’re investing in making memories and preserving them. That’s right, your session isn’t just about the end product, it’s about the memories you make while we’re together. These sessions are as much about spending intentional quality time together as they are about creating beautiful art with your family as the subject. Your session gives you the gift of presence and time to connect as a family, as well as a beautiful heirloom album to treasure. Of course, you’ll also receive the digital files to share with family and friends online, but you’ll get so much more from your session.
We live in the digital age, and as a result, most of our precious photos are saved on hard drives, phones, and clouds. Our kids can’t pull them from the shelf on a whim, and it’s difficult to gather around and enjoy them together. Printed albums and enlargements change all of that. Prints allow your memories to adorn your walls, and to live in well-loved albums that are easily accessible. Digital files have their place, and are even necessary, but this is why all of my packages include printed products. To get your memories into your hands, so you can fully enjoy your investment.
Finally, a family photo session is a notoriously stressful process. It’s my intention to change all that! With my guidance, preparing for and experiencing a photo session will be as low stress and enjoyable as possible.

Heirloom Session
With an Heirloom session, your family will be photographed organically, artistically, and genuinely, in the place you feel most comfortable: your home. This session allows your family to spend an hour or two together, uninterrupted, fully present, while I photograph the moments, connections, and details that are often overlooked in the busy-ness of everyday life. These sessions are intended to be low stress, so that you can rediscover the simple gifts in life and see the beauty in the imperfection of it all. These sessions are an experience, not just a means to get the “perfect” photo.
If you’re thinking that having a photo session in your home is stressful, I’ll be the first to say, “I can relate!” That is, until you understand that no home is (or needs to be) perfect. These sessions don’t need to encompass your entire home, or even the inside of your home at all. Outdoors, even the smallest of yards, can be the perfect backdrop for your session, because this is the place that matters most to you. It’s where your memories are made and where your family feels most comfortable. A small corner or single room with a window will make the images from your session personal and meaningful in a way that can’t be replicated at any other location. Together, we will choose the places that will create the most meaningful images, whether it is inside your home, your yard, or another location of significant importance to your family.
After the session, you will receive an heirloom quality, hardcover album filled with images of the memories you shared during our time together. You may not have experienced the difference between holding images in your hands and seeing them on a digital screen, but I am sure you’ll immediately feel it. Truly, nothing compares.
Investment: $1050 (includes CA state sales tax)
Session includes:
up to 2.5 hour shoot
location in/at/around the client’s home/yard/property within 30 minutes of Oroville - travel fee for distances farther than 30 miles
one heirloom quality photo album with 10 spreads to be designed by me - option to add additional spreads to album
all edited digital files from the session for archival purposes and to create prints in the future (typically at least 50 images)
print release (permission to print from the digital files)
options to purchase professional prints and enlargements
Slice of Life Session
Similar to an Heirloom session, your family will be photographed organically, artistically, and genuinely, but this session is typically during the golden hour (near sunset), and will be much shorter. This session can take place in or around your home, but can also take place in any other agreed upon location. I have suggested locations if you don’t already have something in mind.
You’ll spend about 45 minutes connecting, playing, and enjoying time together while I document the moments and details you’ll want to remember forever. These are not your typical posed family sessions, but an experience that just so happens to be documented in photographs. If poses and perfection are your goal, then these sessions are not for you, but I have a hunch that’s why you’ve landed here in the first place. You’re looking for photos that show the beauty in the reality of life, that feel perfectly imperfect, and that make you fall in love with the life you’ve been blessed with.
After the session, you will receive a set of high quality 4x6 prints of the memories you shared during our time together. You may not have experienced the difference between holding images in your hands and seeing them on a digital screen, but I am sure you’ll immediately feel it. Truly, nothing compares.
Investment: $550 (includes CA state sales tax)
Session includes:
45-60 minute shoot
location within 30 minutes of Oroville - travel fee for distances farther than 30 miles
a set of high quality 4x6 prints of the edited images from your session
all edited digital files from the session for archival purposes and to create prints in the future (typically at least 35 images)
print release (permission to print from the digital files)
options to add an heirloom quality album or additional print products - albums start at $350
Just a Glimpse Session
As with all my sessions, your family will be photographed organically, artistically, and genuinely, but this session is very quick, similar to mini sessions offer by other photographers. This session will take place at an agreed upon location from a list of suggestions I will provide. If you’re looking for a very “typical” family photo session (think Christmas card or Facebook Profile pictures), then this is the session for you.
You’ll spend about 20 minutes together in a small variety of poses to capture exactly what your family looks like in this season of life. After the session, you will receive a set of high resolution digital images that you may download from an online garllery.
Digital prints and albums are not included in this package, but are available as add-ons.
Investment: $250 (includes CA state sales tax)
Session includes:
20 minute shoot
location within 15 minutes of Oroville
all edited digital files from the session for archival purposes and to create prints in the future (typically at least 20 images)
print release (permission to print from the digital files)
options to add an heirloom quality album and/or professional prints

Quotes for Extended Family, Children’s Portrait, Fresh 48, and other sessions are available upon request.
At this time, I do not offer posed newborn sessions or large wedding photography, but I’m happy to give a referral if you’re interested in this type of session.
